Every
person attending the UNMS
graduation must have ticket to enter
the Frederick Loewe Theatre.
Each graduating student will
receive 4 tickets.
Additional
tickets will be distributed on a first come first serve basis
Please no more
than 1-2 extra tickets for each request
Every
graduating student must arrive in cap and gown to the Frederick Loewe Theatre NO LATER THAN 3 PM. Tassels will be given to
students then. Reception to follow.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROMOTION 2014
This year, the DOE promotional criteria have changed and
more weight has been placed on academic performance in class throughout the
year. Therefore, promotion is based on evidence of student work that is at
least level 2 performance throughout the year. So far, the city has only
identified students who performed in the lowest 10% on the ELA and Math
tests. We will not know the exact cut score or performance level on these
exams until the end of August. Students who have been identified as “not
meeting criteria” based on the ELA and/or Math test but have produced
coursework that is at least level 2 throughout the year will be promoted. We
will let you know by June 20th if
you child is promoted or has to attend summer school. Report Cards will
be distributed on the last day of school on June 26th. If you

Este año, los criterios de promoción del DOE han cambiado
y más peso se ha colocado en el rendimiento académico de su hijo/a en las materias
a lo largo del año. Por lo tanto, la promoción se basa en la evidencia de
trabajo que equivale por lo menos a un rendimiento de nivel 2 producido por los
estudiantes durante todo el año. Hasta ahora, la ciudad sólo ha identificado a
los estudiantes que quedaron en el 10% más bajo en las pruebas de ELA y
Matemáticas. Nosotros no vamos a saber la puntuación exacta o el nivel de
rendimiento exacto en estos exámenes hasta el final de agosto. Los estudiantes
que han sido identificados por "cumplir los criterios de promocion ",
según en el examen estatal de ELA y / o matemáticas, pero que han producido
trabajo equivalente por lo menos a un nivel 2 en sus materias durante todo el
año serán promovidos. Nosotros le haremos saber el 20 de junio si su hijo está
promovido o si tiene que asistir a la escuela de verano. El reporte de notas
será distribuido en el último día de la escuela el 26 de junio. Si usted tiene
