At UNMS, we believe that in order for our students to succeed in the 21st century, they must work in a technology-rich environment. As such, academic courses at UNMS are highly suffused with technology.
UNMS has a 1:1 ratio of internet-accessible laptops to students. In many classes, iPads are also used to supplement the range of teaching and learning tools. In all classes, use of technology is integrated throughout the curriculum.
All students have a dedicated and secure internal email address, hosted on our school domain, a service provided by Google.
Student Google accounts allow students to access their work 24/7, request and receive feedback on their work from teachers at any time, and share and collaborate with peers. Parents are encouraged to examine their child’s work from home internet connections.
Student Google accounts are exclusively academic in purpose, and students are expected to adhere to UNMS Internet policy and Department of Education guidelines for Internet use. Click the following links for more information about these policies.
